Supporting The Very Group within the Retail team to define and design new Target Operating Models.

Business Analyst within the Tech & Change team delivering a Web Portal and Mobile App (iOS & Android) to accelerate the Digital Strategy for this Investment Management company.

Working with the Data Scientist community to deliver an open source toolkit that provides one place to create, analyse, model and share Data Science results. Ensuring that appropriate tools are selected to meet requirements and remain safe, secure and compliant. As an agile delivery my role has been to work with the Squad and PO from Inception to define MVP, manage story delivery and ensure NFR and data security requirements in particular are addressed.

Assignment to drive a Target Operating Model for the Data Provisioning teams within Shop Direct as the company focus on putting Data at the centre of their operation and to ultimately support decision making that drives value for Miss Very (target customer).My deliverables include:- Establishing a working group with representation from IT and Business teams that will coordinate and drive Target Operating Model (TOM) activities- Defining the current state of operation to allow the working group to establish priority activities to improve the current state operation- Establishing governance for this piece of work- Ultimately my objective is to provide a framework to drive Target Operating Model activities that will allow the IT delivery programme to complete and for a TOM to become a BAU state with roles, processes and technology that BAU roles can continue to refine and improve the operation.My role is that of facilitator and driver, to bridge the gap between vision and real state by focussing on breaking the Vision down into delivery. I am using Jira tools and Agile techniques to support both IT and Business resources to describe requirements, prioritise and monitor delivery.

Providing Vendor Selection support to a new programme of work for Shop Direct who's objective was to focus on a full review and improvement of their end to end Buying and Fulfilment lifecycle.My deliverables included:- Defining scope, requirements and benefits for a new Trading Platform with Drop Ship providers- Identifying potential vendors and measuring suitability at an RFI stage- Establishing As Is processes for current Buying, Merchandising and fulfilment processes so that we could establish solution improvements, gaps and opportunities with potential vendors.- Managing a series of Vendor RFI demo's and establishing key stakeholders to measure value (circa 40 key process stakeholders across the full sourcing and fulfilment lifecycle)- Ultimately being a key member of the team recommending next steps from RFI to RFP with preferred vendors.I also mentored new Business Analysis resources who worked with me during this period. My objective being to enable them with tools, techniques and experience in Vendor Management and RFI/RFP process. Resulting in me being able to handover the RFP plan to permanent Business Analysts at the end of the contract.

Providing Business Analysis services through a variety of contracts during the period to Shop Direct; award winning digital retailer. Multiple projects, primarily focussed on E Commerce & Digital change within a Financial Services environment. Project highlights:- Supported the Mobile App core project team to deliver the first MVP iteration of an iOS Mobile App.- Using a Scrum based agile approach I worked with both IT, third parties (Thoughtworks & Mubaloo)and business stakeholders to deliver an iOS App solution: "MyVery" which currently has a 5* rating in the App Store as well as an Android solution.Key responsibilities:- Support to the Product Owner for Roadmap definition, prioritisation, scope and stakeholder management- Backlog grooming and management using Jira- Creation and management of Epics, Stories and Acceptance criteria ahead of Sprint planning, ready for estimation and Sprint allocation. - Exposing the wider stakeholder community as needed, such as legal and compliance teams, ensuring impact of mobile app changes are understood within the web customer journey and the e commerce teams.- Working with UX designer to ensure all designs are available and signed off ready for development.- Co-ordinating business decisions for Thoughtworks queries- Preparing the business for the change, including communication planning, training needs analysis and impact of App implementations for BAU Service Management process changes.In a later assignment I undertook a Commercial evaluation of top tier online payment providers within the financial sector to allow Shop Direct to evaluate, assess and appoint a new provider for their E Commerce payment solutions. Within this role I created all RFI, RFP and evaluation documentation as well as gathering business and IT requirements for such a significant change to the website operation. The project required a deep and wide knowledge of payments, including PCI DSS and FCA compliance.

AMEC, a FTSE 100 company, is a supplier of consultancy, engineering and project management services to it’s customers in the worlds Oil & Gas, Mining, Clean Energy, Environment and Infrastructure markets.Senior Business Analyst within the Global Business Systems team, responsible for the application development and support of over 150 applications across 42 countries within AMEC globally. Technology stack included Metastorm BPM, Sharepoint, Oracle Financials, MS.Net, MSRS, MS Dynamics AX. Projects delivered by a mix of Waterfall, Agile/SCRUM. Multiple project involvement at any one time at varying stages. As a self-funding department a professional approach to service delivery and application development is critical as well as a keen eye for budget and utilisation forecasts and targets. Provided coaching and support to the BA group and responsible for annual performance review input.

A hybrid role providing BA and PM support to multiple application development projects at varying stages, primarily within HR, Finance and Commercial areas. Project size varied up to 100 development man-days. User base of 25,000 global users across 42 countries. Responsible for identification and management of requirements, scope, quality as well as schedule and budget. Day to day management of development resources responsible for delivering the solution. The role included:- Stakeholder engagement and relationship management for both new developments and BAU support- Scope and requirements capture for application changes- Third party solution analysis - Standard BA deliverables including requirements catalogues (functional and non functional), functional design facilitation and sign off, requirements traceability, test script creation and coverage, system and UAT test support, communications and training strategy, overall business change management as well as implementation planning and management.

Responsible for the analysis and solution design of the Private On Line advertising process; enhancing Trader Media’s consumer facing, e-commerce platforms, which generate £multimillion revenue p.a. Working in partnership with the business to understand business plans for their short range planning and establishing system requirements to support this. I was the sole Business Analyst within this channel and worked closely with offshore resources to manage the delivery of requirements, including the design aspects of UI.

MDS specialises in providing managed software solutions for Communications Service Providers through the provision of bespoke billing and CMS systems.My role within MDS was as a Business Analyst, primarily focussed within the pre-sales team. Establishing with new customers their business model and mapping MDS services and products against that to deliver a final solution.During my time at MDS I established key processes for BA's working within the pre-sales area to ensure that we could deliver a repeatable, professional service alongside the Marketing division.Key customers I worked with were Ministry of Sound, O2, BT and AOL.

Waitrose Marketing Systems Manager within JLP IT group based in Clipstone Street, London.Reporting to the Waitrose Director of Marketing/Selling as well as the IT Director. Responsible for the establishment of the IT development team tasked with creating Waitrose.com and WaitroseDeliver. Working with the business sponsors, together we established the WaitroseDeliver service. My role included management of the third party supplier, management of the Design Agency tasked with establishing the brand and my development team to deliver the final product. I played a collaborative role with the business leadership team to establish the service delivery and forecast the return on investment.

Project Manager within the e POS Systems team. Responsible for the management of Point Of Sale enhancement projects across the estate of Sainsbury stores. The role included establishing the training, communication and business change requirements needed to aid smooth implementation.

A member of the regional systems installation team, covering Northampton to Preston. Responsible for the technical installation of new application software in Sainsbury's stores and providing training and support during the early adoption.
