During my internship at USAID-Kenya Investment Mechanism, I made significant contributions to brand visibility campaigns and stakeholder engagement. I wrote compelling stories for the project's weekly newsletter, highlighting initiatives like Kenya's dairy sustainability roadmap, agricultural mechanization projects, and dairy regulations workshops. Additionally, I crafted engaging content for social media and created photo stories to enhance the project's online presence.In terms of stakeholder engagement, I played a vital role in managing correspondence among partners, technical working groups, and government agencies. I prepared presentations, organized meetings, and drafted minutes for stakeholder gatherings, conferences, and workshops. I also provided recommendations for the quarterly county briefs, submitted to county governors.Furthermore, I contributed to capacity-building and event organization. I successfully planned out-of-town workshop retreats for the dairy sustainability and Mombasa Investment Corporation technical working groups. Additionally, I coordinated a significant dairy stakeholders' workshop on regulations and sustainability, which had a substantial turnout.Lastly, I participated in grant writing activities, collaborating on concept notes and drafting reports for county partnerships.Through these efforts, I played an instrumental role in enhancing communication strategies, engaging stakeholders effectively, and supporting various events and workshops within the USAID-Kenya Investment Mechanism.

As a Communications and Public Advocacy Intern at the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), I focused on youth engagement. I fostered partnerships and updated existing partners on upcoming UNEP activities, collaborating with organizations like WeForum, Global Landscapes Forum, and AIESEC International for UN Environment Assembly events.I researched and compiled information for the UNEP youth website, effectively communicating youth-related activities. I also contributed to the creation of the first UNEP youth e-blast newsletter, amplifying the voices of young environmentalists.In terms of stakeholder engagement and youth advocacy, I organized a round table discussion with the Deputy Secretary General to the UN and 12 young global environmentalists during UNEA. I evaluated data from the Youth Working Group (YWG) mapping process across UNEP's divisions, actively contributing to the Youth Vision Paper. Moreover, I managed the Youth Working Group channel, inviting interested members and updating upcoming activities and mapping process data.Additionally, I participated in capacity building mobilization and event organization, providing support to high-level executives and performing strategic and internal communication functions.Through my role, I strengthened UNEP's communication efforts, engaged youth stakeholders, and contributed to impactful events and initiatives.
