Lynnette is a dance artist, choreographer and Registered Dance Movement Psychotherapist (ADMP,UK). She is curious about where therapy meets performance and her evolving practice means that she is often at the interface of both. Lynnette’s teaching practice draws on over twenty years of experience in community dance. The exploration of movement potential in every individual is key and she challenges herself in seeking out opportunities to explore movement in its broadest form whilst combining other art forms to influence her work. Lynnette has significant experience in leading both choreographic and therapeutic work with learning disabled artists and currently runs InvolveDanceCompany (formerly Spin Off @ Danceeast) She is currently lead artist on the Care to Dance Program for people with Dementia and their Carers for Danceeast. These classes are held in various Memory cafes across Suffolk. Lynnette is also currently Associate Artist for English National Ballet delivering Dance for Parkinson’s classes held at Danceeast. Lynnette’s portfolio includes choreographic projects for Gecko, Physical Theatre Company and Stopgap alongside co choreographic positions for DanceEast’s annual large-scale community performance project. Lynnette facilitates weekly DMP sessions for children and adults with learning disabilities; within that, she offers reflective practice for assistants who support the sessions. She works collaboratively within hospice settings, whilst offering bespoke CPD opportunities.
