Duties included: Project Management of the company’s Online Test Menu product designed for Labcorp to display both the Hospital (client) test dictionary as well as the full offering of Reference Laboratory tests on a single website designed for the Hospital.  Maintain the Cerner Millennium LIS System for BronxCare Health System (Previously known as Bronx-Lebanon Health Center) for all reference tests for Quest Diagnostics from 2 separate Quest business units over 9 years. Test Dictionary Builds for LIS and EMR Systems to include SCC SOFT, Cerner Millennium, Sunquest, Meditech, Allscripts, Seacoast among others.  Compile spreadsheet data for test dictionary builds, automated load, and test mapping in various LIS and EMR systems. Perform Test mapping between multiple Laboratory Test Dictionaries. Interact with both client and vendor for project. Develop pathways for scripting into autobuild process. Perform QA testing for test dictionary builds and test conversion projects.  Manage EMR interface projects. Manage and maintain the NCD and LCD Medicare Policies used in the medical necessity tool for the company's Orders Management Portal product. This included review of Medicare Policies on CMS based on client needs and conversion to the format required for use in the Portal for ABN logic. Monitor CMS for updates to both NCD and LCD policies and make modifications as needed in client Portals. Product Management coordination with development staff and validation testing of the Medical Necessity Functionality of the Orders Management Portal Maintain the ICD10 database utilizing the codes published annually by CMS. Convert CMS files to Company standard format for use in the Portal product. Work with development team to perform updates in client portals. Performed validation of each update for all clients in both Test and PROD. LOINC Mapping - Analysis and assignment of the appropriate LOINC code for Hospital Laboratory test Dictionaries.

Histocompatibility Laboratory

Duties included: Scheduling of Technologists and ancillary staff. Inventory maintenance and tracking of all supplies. Purchasing decision-making. Budgetary preparation for each fiscal year. Cost analysis preparation. Certification and accreditation maintenance to include both CAP and ASHI. Patient records maintenance with UNOS via computer using TIEDI-lotus notes. Development of policies and procedures. Education of medical residents, technology students and transplant coordinators. Interviewing potential employees. Testing and establishment of any new procedures. Performing all testing in the lab as well as quality control

Histocompatibility Laboratory

Duties included:• HLA class I and II aelic typing.• Lymphocyte crossmatching.• HLA antibody detection and identification.• On Call service for Heart/Kidney Transplantation• DNA isolation and amplification using a Perkin Elmer Cetus 9600 Thermocycler for PCR.• Intermediate/High resolution typing of the following HLA class II alleles: DR, DQA, DQB, DPB. The following procedures were incorporated: SSP, Both commercial and lab made panels, Reverse SSOP by commercial Kit (Innolipa), and RFLP.• MLC testing for bone marrow transplant candidates.

Histocompatability/Immunology Laboratory

Histocompatability – Duties included: HLA typing for leukemic, disease-related, and renal transplantation patients. On call service for cadaver typing and crossmatch. MLC procedures Antibody Screening including automated freezing of in-house cell panel. Crossmatching. Mitogen Assays. Preparation of our own HLA Typing Trays. Flow Cytometry – Duties included: Coulter EPIC C and Easy 88 computer analysis DNA staining and analysis of various tissues and fluids. Monoclonal staining by mono and dual method for leukemia, lymphoma, helper suppressor, etc. Immunology – Duties included: Basic testing: STS, CMV, Monotest, VDRL, Rheumatoid Factor, Streptozymes, ASO, ---Cold Agglutinin, Etc. Electrophoresis ANA Beckman Auto ICS Other – Duties included:• Supervised training for flow cytometry and histocomatability.• Inventory and ordering for histocompatability and flow cytometry

Hematology

Hematology – Duties included:• Routine hematology procedures including coulter s=4, Coulter Sr., differentials, fluids, platelets, hand counts, H & H. Urinalysis – Duties included• Routing macro and microscopic analysis, Ped. Screen• Special tests including: myoglobins, cystine, Bence-Jones, fecal fat, urine, eosinophils, sperm analysis.
