Managing DirectorCsqc - Consulting Surveyors Quality Corporation Dec 2016 - Mar 2021CSQC Pty Ltd was 100% owned by SIBA ( Spatial Industry Business Association) as an ISO certification service for members and the surveying and spatial industry to ensure quality systems are at the centre of all projects. The CSQC team of auditors were providing ISO accreditation and business process improvement consulting services to our clients in the spatial and construction industry since 1993. When Lyn took the Board position on, this company was running at a loss, however with a new vision, the team quickly turned the company around to be profitable and growing by securing some of the largest surveying companies as customers. CSQC during this period was able to pay dividend to SIBA as the owner to help with the membership associations annual revenue. This volunteer Directorship role was consistent with my passion to inspire the Geospatial & Surveying industry organisations to implement policies, procedures and business management systems to ensure Quality Spatial Data is consistently generated and managed during normal operations, which in turn provides the spatial information required to underpin Smarter Decisions across Australia. Early in 2021 SIBA sold this profitable ISO certification business unit to GlobalMark as our ISO accreditation partner provider.

Spatial Technologies Director - Maps DivisionNational Geographic 2003 - Oct 2007Washington, Dc, UsThe Spatial Technologies Director position was created Post the 911 terrorism event to help people to rapidly capture, collate, coordinate, and communicate about risk and response scenarios caused by man-made and natural disasters. My role included managing and leading the R&D, marketing, sales, and technical delivery teams for the supply of a professional user range of digital mapping applications called TOPO! Pro within the National Geographic Society - Maps division. Working closely with the President and VPS of the National Geographic Maps division, our clients included Emergency services, intelligence, search & rescue, policing, and environmental management organisations across USA. Projects included transforming data collection project teams dealing with Homeland Security, Critical Infrastructure, and Intelligence Gathering strategies for many organisation in the post 911, war against terrorism period during the George Bush Presidency. The National Geographic Software called TOPO! Pro was developed in Australia by the RapidMap team now called Iconyx and was embraced by clients including: USFS, CDC, BLM, BIA, NPS, NGA, LA County Fire, Orange County Vector Control District, Santa Clara County and many more. During this time, Lyn became closely associated with the Vector Control community to monitor the spread of the deadly West Nile Virus via mosquito populations in USA and California and became committed to improving the process of deploying traps to monitor and in response, conducting mosquito control activities to mitigate the risk of infection in the Community. During this partnership period, we also worked collaboratively with ESRI's R&D team in Redlands California to bring operational improvement to field data capture with integration models to streamline the delivery of data to Arc Gis platforms seamlessly from the TOPO! Pro architecture.
