I have worked with older adults for nearly 30 years in a number of different ways: • as an instructor teaching art, narrative and poetry and gentle exercise classes through adult education and Foothill College• as a Program Director in convalescent and senior centers, developing innovative social and educational activities that have added to quality of life • as the Senior Coordinator of The 55+ Program (under LGS Adult Education and Recreation), enlarging a program with approximately 60 participants to one with nearly 400 members. • as facilitator for number of groups, ie. bereavement, a Reader's Theater, artist support group, a social/educational group for older adults in the Summit area of Los Gatos, and a once a month "dinner club" (primarily for adults living alone).• as co-creator of a "Senior Consortium", created links with other professionals in the aging field in order to provide mutual support by working together to explore and enlarge on issues relevant to seniorsSpecialties: Developing meaningful programs, linking with others in the aging field to exlarge on program possibilities, making publicity contacts, and more....
