I moved to Wellington after completing my level 8 certificate, working in roles which improve outcomes for everyday New Zealanders. After spending three years thoroughly enjoying my time learning new skills and experiencing life in the city, I will now continue my role at NZ Post working remotely. I look forward to reconnecting in Nelson! My PostGrad Cert and Graduate Diploma were in the fields of Leadership, Operations and Strategy, and my level 7 capstone research project was on finding funds for a non-profit by database profiling and stakeholder relationships. I am also proud to have started my Te Reo Māori journey. I spent 12 years setting the strategic direction and managing the operational needs of my own businesses. This included engaging employees and contractors, as well as responsibility for the business' sales and marketing. In 2008, I pivoted my Home Loan business in response to the GFC, and in 2014 I sold the Property Management company I had build from the ground up. According to the valuer, the record multiplier which was applied was due to the sound management of the portfolio. I am also a property investor with significant experience (story featured as a chapter in the book "Rich Rewards in Real Estate", and an article in NZ Property Investor Magazine, Feb 2010). I have completed residential property projects from simple renovations through to complete interior redesign, and new builds. Within the next 5 years, I aspire to working on a residential development with scale, whether that be one of my own or for a larger organisation. My hobbies include vintage caravaning and coaching netball.
