I am an experienced qualified accountant with a demonstrated history of delivering quality analysis and reporting. Skilled in Cost Management, Forecasting, Management Accounting, and Ad Hoc Reporting, I thrive on change and new challenges. An effective communicator at all levels. I spent the earlier part of my career in Atlanta (USA) working primarily in Accountancy Practice roles specializing in SME services - preparation of client accounts and tax computations including statutory and management accounts, corporation tax, business tax, personal tax computations and line management. It was in these roles where my expertise came into its own and I became an expert in SME accounting software packages such as Sage and QuickBooks. Helping small businesses gain control and understanding of their finances became a real passion of mine. I was easily able to transfer these skills when I moved to the UK in 2006. Working with a firm of Chartered Accountants in Reading, I was able to further develop my skills in compliance tax (cross border VAT and UK business tax) along with group consolidations, inter-company transactions and multi-currency reporting.After relocating to Edinburgh in 2010, I went to work for Royal Bank of Scotland in Operations Finance. Here I honed my advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills producing and presenting monthly executive report packs and delivering/monitoring annual budgets and rolling forecasts. Over the last 8 years I’ve also had the opportunity to expand my expertise to cloud based ERP systems (Oracle, Hyperion) and achieved success in cost reduction and stakeholder management.
