    I have a rare disease: Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. EDS, is a connective tissue disorder, or CTD, that affects collagen, which makes up every tissue in the human body. It is incurable, and can expresse itself in loose joints and organ damage. This may lead to possible subluxations, dislocations and organ prolapses, which can result in chronic pain. My EDS research led me to discover many symptoms of and treatments for both EDS and Chronic Pain. One Fund Commission Council members attended meetings to discuss how donations to the One Fund should be distributed amongst Boston Marathon bombing survivors and victims' families. I attended to represent all survivors with so-called "invisible injuries," those which were internal injuries, rather than external injuries. Some of us, with internal injuries, like myself, will require medical treatments for the rest of our lives, as “out patients.” This simply means we are not hospitalized for most of these treatments. This differs from Boston Marathon Attack survivors with external injuries, who received medical treatments as “in patients,” and were hospitalized immediately.
