I have taught at two private schools in the New Orleans, Louisiana area. I have instructed both regular education students and special education students. I have had the opportunity to long term substitute in Morehouse Parish for a few teachers. My goal is to obtain both my Master's in History and become certified to teach secondary education.I also have government experience. Through the Louisiana Center for Women and Government, I was an intern to the Special Assistant to the Governor on Women's Policy under the Foster Administration. I had the wonderful experience of getting in on the ground level and being able to contribute to the formation of this office. While working in the governor's cabinet I was able to professionally interact with the Children's Cabinet, Environmental Cabinet, the Cabinet of Education, and various other areas.Specialties: I have taught a wide variety of subjects; however, my passion lies with the social sciences. History, Government, and Sociology are a few of my favorites. I have also had the opportunity to teach beginning Spanish to 5th, 6th, and 7th graders.
