Lynn Johnson believes that the solutions to our most pressing problems lie with those who have been historically silenced, ignored, and left out. She’s spent her career amplifying these voices as an expert facilitator and visionary leader in the fields of social impact, entrepreneurship, organizational development, and the arts. In 2023, Lynn founded her latest social impact company, High Desert Playback in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Currently in partnership with The New Mexico Foundation, HEAL + NM, Downtown ABQ Arts + Culture District, and the City of Albuquerque’s Office of Equity and Inclusion, High Desert Playback is igniting community dialogue, cultural healing, and collective liberation through theater. In 2020, Lynn Co-Founded Hella Social Impact™, a women of color-owned consultancy that engages organizations to authentically and impactfully show up for racial justice. As CEO of this social venture, Lynn developed a framework and assessment for organizations committed to racial equity. Her clients included Seth Godin’s altMBA, Girl Scouts, and B Lab US + Canada.In 2004, Lynn Co-Founded an arts-based for-profit social venture called Spotlight: Girls based in Oakland, CA. Her company was recognized as a Best For The World, Certified B Corp, and raised over half a million dollars in capital to expand operations. Spotlight: Girls became so foundational to the Oakland, Bay Area community that, in 2021, Lynn was featured in an art installation at the Oakland Museum of CA. Lynn is an award-winning speaker who’s appeared on the stages of SOCAP, the B Corp Champions Retreat, Social Venture Circle, SVI Women, BlogHer, Lean StartUp Week, and Wisdom 2.0. Her Communications degree from Northwestern University gave her all the tools she needed to inspire, educate and lead.
