I'm working with several RIMS chapters, preparing financial statements on a monthly or a quarterly basis for the chapters' Board members. I'm working in QuickBooks, and create a chart of accounts for each group, as well as reconciling monthly bank statements to make certain that all activity is captured in the books. I have also created GuideStar pages, and update them annually.At the end of each fiscal year, I prepare an annual IRS Form 990EZ or 990N for each chapter as well as applicable IRS 1099 and 1096 forms in January.
