During my studies I did my internship at the Flanders Festival Ghent/Brussels. This was an excellent choice because of the different tasks, the interesting people and the exclusive places I got to know.I started my career at Ghent University where I worked at the Center of Breast Cancer Prevention. This was quite a challenge because the function was new and I had as main task to build the "secretariat" to a well working departement within the organisation. After 3 years I decided it was time for a new challenge.I started working at Epas in 2007 as a Marketing & Management Assistent where I got my first introduction in marketing.In 2008 I was offered a job for Flanders Festival Ghent/Brussels (where I did my internship), but mainly for a new branch "The Allegretto Festival Foundation" (now "Music for Children" - www.musicforchildren.be). This is a Foundation that wants to make a difference for children and youngsters through music, to help them integrate into society. Meanwhile I also worked as PA to Jan Briers and as a project coordinator. I started with small events but at the end I coördinated larger projects such as "the Informal Summit of Ghent" and "Inspiring Leaders in society" in chateau Val Duchesse Brussels. There is also a yearly fundraising event for the Festival Foundation that I (upon today) still coordinate.In 2013 Jan Briers was named Governor and I got the chance to change jobs with him. It was a big turn but I'm glad I made it. It's great to learn more about the governement and politics, and I have grown a lot in my "Personal Assistant" function. In 2016 I founded (together with de Community Gent) a netwerkgroup "M.A.N. Talk" (Management Assistant Network) where personal assistants for decision makers in Flanders can meet and network (www.man-talk.be).Knowing that the term of office was ending in October 2018 I took on a new challenge in a Marketing Agency, Handlangers since September 2018.
