Helped guide the transition from the Museum’s former 3,000-square-foot facility to the new 26,000-square-foot museum. The Museum opened at its new three-story location at the corner of 8th and Wabash in downtown Terre Haute on Sept. 24, 2010. Since opening, more than 120,000 people have visited.o Helped secure approximately $700,000 in donations and pledges to complete the Museum’s $5.6 million capital campaign.o Worked closely with subcontractors, architects, consultants and authorities to ensure the construction project was completed safely, on time and within budget.o Worked with the Museum’s board of directors to finalize exhibit selection, aesthetics, placement, lighting and educational goals.o Helped plan and execute a grand opening celebration weekend, which included a private donor reception, public ribbon cutting, and a variety of special activities and events, including a donor-sponsored presentation by Bill Nye the Science Guy. More than 7,000 people visited the Museum during the grand opening weekend.Current responsibilities:• Collaborating with individual donors and public, corporate and other private institutions to secure funding for museum operations, exhibits, programs and scholarships• Promoting the Museum's programs and events• Administration of day-to-day operations • Serving as an ex-officio member of the board of directors• Managing the Museum’s $556,000 budget

Responsibilities include:- Writing, editing and distributing press releases, media alerts and news articles to promote College news, events and activities- Developing and implementing media relations and public communications strategies and initiatives to expand awareness and knowledge of the College- Collaborating with College staff and outside vendors to create and produce College advertising and marketing materials that support the College's overall mission- Researching, drafting and editing speeches and talking points for the College President- Handling the coordination and successful implementation of special projects, as needed, by the President and President's Cabinet- Overseeing the development of creative and timely content for the College website and social networking sites- Serving as a representative of the College at internal and external events- Establishing and maintaining lines of communication with internal and external audiences- Photography, videography, assisting with crisis communications and international relations efforts and other duties as assigned

Helped develop and launch a challenge campaign, which resulted in a record-breaking $323,667 in unrestricted gifts for the fourth quarter (a 5.7% increase over fourth quarter gifts in the 2008-2009 fiscal year) and an increase in the number of donors from 2,316 in 2007-2008 to 2,407 in 2008-2009- Helped plan and execute a phonathon to promote the challenge campaign- Helped revise letters and materials to assist alumnae/i class agents in soliciting class gifts- Created targeted communications for classes celebrating a Reunion year (Reunion class gifts totaled $187,207, which exceeded last year's Reunion gifts by more than $30,000)

- Reported on various topics, including city and county government and local education issues- Took part in an award-winning project to help increase public access to records, requiring extensive investigation and research about Indiana public access laws- Conducted in-depth research on several topics for front page news, including overcrowding in the Vigo County Jail, police evidence rooms, the increase in the number of runaways and the impact of local union support on elections
