As the Supplier Diversity Manager, I am responsible for the strategic planning, development, and execution of the Consumers Energy Supplier Diversity Program. This position supports objectives of strategic importance and requires strategic thinking, change management and the ability to influence others. I also lead the company's efforts in Sustainable Supply Chain practices, part of the larger ESG initiative. I collaborate with internal customers, supply chain teams, suppliers, and state and national agencies. I am an ambassador for Consumers Energy to the supplier community and external agencies supporting supplier diversity and inclusion initiatives. In this role, I am accountable for developing the programs, processes, metrics and data to ensure Consumers Energy achieves our diversity and inclusion objectives, goals and vision. The stakeholder engagement manager is a corporate ambassador in the community - initially developed with a focus on renewable energy projects. In this role, I explained the need for and benefits of the project or initiative with the goals of achieving the project objective, building the company brand and earning community and media support. I expanded the role to include engagement for gas pipelines, policy documents defining the company's clean energy plan (Integrated Resource Plan), and the expansion of traditional generation facilities.

As a Sr. Project Planner at Mead & Hunt, I am both a project manager and a subject matter expert on land use planning, community development and community outreach. I do all of the following: organize and lead public meetings and coordinate public outreach material including print and social media; present material at conferences and training workshops; develop inventories, forecasts, and policy needs analysis; develop project scoping and budgets and monitor budgets and schedules.This position began with the surface transportation group and shifted to supporting the aviation planning group. I served as a project manager for several projects, responsible for scope, budget and delivery. In this role, I also participated in multiple projects for the Transportation Research Board including project design, data collection and analysis, technical writing and project presentations.

Responsible for: daily and long-term planning, zoning and community development initiatives, daily interface with citizens and developers, updates to planning and zoning documents, preparation for and staffing of public meetings, department budgets.

Performed contract planning and zoning services to a multitude of municipal clients--primarily in Ingham, Eaton and Clinton Counties. Tasks included master plan updates, zoning ordinance updates, parks and recreation plans, grant applications and unique special projects such as economic business retention, community design standards and non-point source pollution prevention.
