As the Director of Little Box of Books, I have over five years of experience in leading and managing media and digital communications for social impact organisations. I am passionate about promoting diversity and inclusion in education and literature, and empowering children to see themselves and others in the stories they read.I founded Little Box of Books to help primary schools diversify their library and classroom bookshelves, and to make book buying more efficient and convenient for teachers. Working with headteachers and literacy leads in KS1 and KS2, we provide boxes of amazing books from top publishers that feature diversity in race, culture, family set up, and socioeconomic background, and that disrupt gender and disability stereotypes. We have built strategic partnerships with media outlets, such as ITV's Loose Women, and won a Mind Media Award in 2016 for our work.
