Experience in PRINCE2 project management. Course completed.TEFL trained.Worked in cancer care throughout my career as a radiation therapist since 1996. radiotherapy departments - Charing Cross Hospital, Royal Sussex Hospital, St Bartholemews Hospital, Guy's and Tommys. I have been in charge of a team in the radiotherapy department developing leadership and team management skills. My time working in R&D meant I had to be more self motivated and deal with stakeholders and higher level management, involved in the future planning and business development for a private healthcare company. I have been involved with setting up clinical studies from initial concept to authoring documentation, gaining ethical approvals, participant recruitment and data collection. I have published on clinical data and clinical findings on specialist services within the radiotherapy department.Skills: Ability to plan for the future, putting new developments from concept into practice, developing and training others in change, managing resistance to change, excellent communication with all staff levels, upper management as well as stakeholders. My role as deputy manager meant dealing with budgets and supporting both the workforce and Radiotherapy Manager. Extensive experience in selection and hiring of staff, dealing with staff attrition to ensure smooth running of the department.
