If we’ve never met, here are a few facts about me:I am passionate about many things and have a sunny outlook on life - according to everyone who knows me well! After deciding not to take up the offer of further education I left school at 16 to join our family business which was in the Motor Factors Trade and had a screen printing division - I loved the arty side of our company.I vividly remember sitting at our dining table at home with my father messing about with sheets of Letraset to create a new style of 'Letter & Number' which were to be used on the new reflective number plates that we brought to the UK.The family business was sold early in 1980 and I started my own business - Rio Screenprint - to continue to service our clients and build on the Point of Sale/Advertising areas. I sold this to one of my employees in 1989 after the birth of our first son to concentrate on motherhood.I loved being Mum to our two boys, and, as my husbands career took off and we regularly moved house I became interested in Interior Design and completed a Diploma with the National Design Academy and set up my own interiors company - Ash Tree House Interiors.With my experience in Interior Design and preparing homes for sale I became a consultant for The House Doctor Network (Channel 5) as well as building my own client portfolio.Life then threw me another challenge - after feeling exhausted for a good while, which I put down to the amount of hours, I worked I was diagnosed with an under-active thyroid. As my business relied solely on me working at 110% I stopped taking on contracts so I could rest and recover.It was during this time when I was looking for alternative means of income I found the supplements I still use today.In fact that's how Your Business Carriage was born.
