• Direct the business of 9 well known and successful restaurants across the Western Cape and significantly bolster controls, standardise processes and generate top quality management information and reporting.• Devise long term strategies and plans in order to grow the business and generate solid returns for shareholders.• Leverage group buying volumes to negotiate bulk buying discounts with key vendors and streamline operations.• Drive restaurant revenues through innovative marketing campaigns and ensure that all restaurants maintain the highest levels of service and operational excellence.• Responsible for all financial, administrative and information technology aspects of the business. • Lead and motivate the administrative and financial team to continuously raise standards and service levels and nurture skills base in order empower staff to realise their potential.• Recruit and manage senior management tasked with daily restaurant operations and the implementation of systems of internal control, business strategy and operational objectives.• Engage and negotiate with landlords to achieve optimal occupancy costs to ensure ongoing restaurant sustainability and profitability.• Site selection and development for new franchise businesses.• Advise franchisor through serving on the franchise advisory committee on short, medium and long term brand strategies.

• Manage the operation of well established medium sized, industry leading national powder coating business and report directly to group CEO and COO.• Develop the administrative and reporting infrastructure and implement rigid systems and controls to provide a solid foundation for business growth.• Understand and manage costs and service levels by negotiating with and sourcing key suppliers, devising meaningful costing methods, monitoring expenses, utilising technology and organising staff efficiently.• Enhance and develop production processes in order to increase output, control costs and reduce wastage.• Regularly meet and build relationships with key customers, negotiating deals and continually seeking ways to add value to our service offerings• Develop an intimate knowledge of labour laws and health and safety regulations in order to effectively lead and manage the work force and ensure that a safe, disciplined and efficient work environment is created and maintained.

• Understand and report to credit risk executive committee on all credit risk exposure of the bank as a result of trading with emerging market countries.• Investigate and analyse weekly, monthly and quarterly credit exposure movements in order to prepare commentary for executive credit risk committee.• Identify, understand and analyse new and existing trades to identify and quantify resulting credit risk exposure. Product exposure includes equities, FX transactions, money market instruments, loans, bonds and repos.• Liaise with executive management, front office and product control areas as a basis for validating work performed and advising on credit limits.• Maintain existing and design of new macros and MS access databases used to perform data interrogation in order to ensure accuracy, efficiency and reliability of reporting.

• Plan, perform and manage statutory audit and non-statutory professional services to a range of listed and private clients, predominantly within the asset management, construction, vehicle leasing, media and entertainment sectors.• Plan, supervise and coach audit team members on the job and work with partner and client to identify and address business and audit risk issues.• Meet client reporting deadlines and keep costs within planning budget.• Report to management highlighting key financial performance figures and covering key risk areas, and make recommendations for improvement in systems of internal control and business processes.• Significant clients include Southern Sun Ltd, Conservation Corporation Africa, Tsogo Sun, Avis Car Rental, Multichoice Africa Ltd, Alexander Forbes.
