Upon completing his degree, Lyon joined NBBJ Sports & Entertainment as a Designer, taking part in a variety of international projects. Lyon then joined Landmark Entertainment Group as a Senior Project Designer. At Landmark he led the design of several entertainment and resort projects worldwide. In addition, Lyon had the opportunity to work with some of the most prestigious entertainment and recreational brands in the industry, most notably Universal Studios; where he designed retail and entertainment components for Universal projects in international markets. Lyon then joined MCG Architecture as the Director of Design for the Pasadena office. In 2003 he was promoted to firm-wide Design Principal. In that capacity, Lyon was instrumental in developing project opportunities, client relationships, and led the design efforts of projects nationwide.In 2005, Lyon opened and led KTGY’s Retail Studio in Santa Monica, California. The studio focused primarily on Main Street/Lifestyle Destinations, Multi-Level Urban Retail Centers and Entertainment/Leisure destinations. As Principal, Lyon led all business development and marketing efforts in addition to leading design.Lyon joined Nadel Architects in 2008 as the firm’s Retail Design Principal. Based out of the company’s corporate headquarters in Los Angeles, he oversaw design firm-wide and was integral to all retail sector business development efforts. In 2011, Lyon was promoted to Nadel’s Board of Directors, and in 2013 became part of the new ownership team leading Nadel Architects into its next phase. In 2018 Lyon was appointed Chairman of the Board. As Chairman and President, Lyon currently drives business growth firm wide, creating a strong market presence and brand equity for Nadel Inc.
