Ensuring the drilling programmes remain well ahead of mining for planning purposes.• Co-implementation and supervision of grade control systems including ore limit definition/ mapping, overburden movement and handling, planning and forecasting of grades and volumes to meet the required short and long term targets. Under the supervision of Kobus Dippenaar (Pr.Sci.Nat – 400079/94).• Undertake and update geological maps and workings in assigned blocks and reserve/resource calculation and updating for the assigned pit (Mapungubwe Pit and Strategic Pit)• Report writing and interpretation of geological data for the purposes of modelling, ore body definition and grade control• Design and execution of geochemical soil sampling. • Multiple desktop studies: utilizing relevant literature and mapping software (Global mapper 13 and Model Maker) in projecting and evaluating the mineral potential of prospects. (Chrome, Lalapanzi, Zimbabwe, Coal in Hwange and Gold in Mutare)• Green and Brown field exploration in Entuba (Hwange, Zimbabwe) (under supervision).• Assisting the senior geologist, in managing exploration drilling programs that includes borehole sitting (making use of handheld GPS), organizing core and percussion drilling teams, liaising with surface special grant owners, the transportation of borehole core & samples, managing additional services (eg. surveying) and ensuring EMA approved rehabilitation practices of drilling sites.• Geotechnical core logging of coal exploration drill holes.• Sampling and bagging of coal core with samples delivered to Makomo Resources laboratory along with specific analysis instructions. • Quality analysis and quality control on all proximate analysis results, xrf, hard-groove index, drop shatter test and float and sink laboratory results.• Incorporate drilling data into a geological map (under supervision).• Simple modelling of mineral resources by making use of Global Mapper 13 and Model Maker software.• Pit grade control, sampling and structural mapping (Main pit and Strategic pit).• Carry out Gps surveys of all historical and current mining features and sites.• Sampling of coal stockpiles and slurry dams with samples made available for Makomo Resources laboratory with specific instructions regarding properties and size fractions to be analysed.• Re-correlating and evaluating historical borehole data to new exploration data such that - data can be used in planning future exploration programmes.
