My current project focus includes powering greenhouses using Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) as part of the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO)'s Grid Innovation Fund.

- Effectively leading the Volunteer Executive Committee through collaborative meetings, thorough training sessions and distribution of various tasks based on volunteer interests and abilities- Implementing organizational strategies to improve activity development and increase community outreach

-Understood and evaluated bills of material for new designs, and sought alternative sources of electronics components by using various tools for cost optimization-Validated, entered, categorized and maintained component database in business system-Supported commodity manager with conceptual and fact-based information and opportunities to drivesignificant structural cost reduction improvement-Identified new areas to support standardization of components and consolidation of supply base

-Participated in over ten projects, completed two involving process improvement and removal of a safety hazard in Operations-Provided engineering support for the design of optimized, competitive, safe and sustainable facilities with focus specifically on developing value-enhancing engineered solutions-Conducted process improvements studies to meet specific objectives established by Operations, assist in project start-up, troubleshooting, and in the implementation of the plant safety program-Support of site packaging lines (troubleshooting, optimization, supervision)-Capital Project work for detailed Engineering (P&ID’s, PFD’s, Specification Sheets), optimization initiatives, and corporate-wide process COE-Commended by manager for improvement costs of over $50,000

-Analyzed and extracted information from Architectural, Electrical, Mechanical, and StructuralEngineering schematics in order to calculate data, find suitable equipment, and project plan-Frequent construction site visits consisting of communication with contractors, confirming contracts and policies are implemented, enforced timeline dates, Health and Safety rules, and noting buildingdeficiencies.
