Performed Master's research work in Dr. Biwu Ma's group. My research focuses on the application and development of new functional materials with controlled chemical and physical properties. Developed a new kind of phosphorescent temperature and viscosity sensors by characterizing the materials properties. The materials under investigation range from organic compounds to metallo-organics, polymers, and organic/inorganic hybrids. The major purpose of my research is to study the underlying chemical and physical properties of new materials, and understand how molecular structure and processing conditions control the materials properties and affect their performance in devices. Due to the fundamental knowledge of the structure-property relationships, it allows for the further development and application of materials.
