I am so very excited about my latest venture! It is bringing together everything I have learnt over my 20 year career, with the aim of supporting people who are doing their absolute best, yet feeling like they are not getting a fair return on how hard they work. This project combines:- the tried and tested behaviour change techniques, - the latest scientific research, - academic rigour, - a strong sense of the reality in the field, and - the latest that technology has to offer to accelerate learning and behaviour change. What this brings to the world of professionals wanting to do the right thing is literally life-changing. And for their employers too! In an employee's market, retention and talent attraction are keeping leaders up at night, and keeping existing key players satisfied in the workplace is key. Starting with measuring a baseline to make sure we can evaluate the impact of the intervention, we establish levels of job satisfaction as well as other psychological items.We then embark on micro-learning sessions and immediate implementation in daily life, at home, at work, in current relationships. The learning is in the doing. These range from raising our awareness about our own behaviours, to scientifically proven concepts, to tips and tricks on anything from self-care to management techniques.Just in time information always available on the app, on our phone.Learning and growing can be difficult and painful, but the strong community, either having gone through or going through the process is there to offer support, compassion, encouragement and perhaps the gentle nudge to keep moving (asynchronous action learning sets - I have to show I know what I am talking about, says the marketing team!)The measurement at the end of the programme will be the moment of truth. Not how the learner felt about the experience, but whether it was effective or not. But they will know that. Because no more working my fingers to the bone, yet still having to count my pennies, having to fight for appreciation, having to beg for promotion, feeling like I am always winging it and on the verge of breaking down. My life is good and I love my job.All this is born from everything I have collected along the way, from my early career trying to steer athletes away from harmful practices, the early days of e-learning, from being the go-between the perfect laboratory settings and the reality of the field, the constraints of employees and employers.Join in, and start believing again that doing the right thing pays off.
