Since student life, M. A Masud has kept himself involved in human welfare activities. He has always played a pioneering role in standing by people with problems and actively cooperated in solving their problems as well as removing their wants. This is his inborn feature.He is well conversant with work procedures of different ministries and their subordinate offices by dint of his employment opportunity. He is as shocked to see the trend of corruption in government offices and procrastination in getting done works of public interest as he takes delight to get works done for people without hassle and serve them. He is well experienced in performing different activities as issuing notices along with placing questions to ministers as per different codes of parliamentary procedure, parliamentary standing committees of different ministries, enactment and presentation of private members bill and so on. M A Masud’s contribution to massive rural road infrastructure development at his upazila Karnaphuli (former west patiya) is visible. He got different village clay roads with soling and brick works. He is also involved with a number of educational, social and welfare institutions. He is a life member of Chattogram Maa O Shishu Hospital, Kadam Mubarak Muslim Orphanage, Selima Qader Degree College, Fazlul Qader Chowdhury Government Primary School, Doulatpur Madrasha Islamia Ashraful Ulum Orphanage and Darul Ulum Doulatpur Deyang Pahar Madrasha and Orphanage etc. Besides, he is at present working as president of government registered and oldest as well as largest welfare organization of this region that was built in 1967.
