Mr. Amin is an adaptable multi-disciplinary analyst with experience in preparing budget proposal, Treasury Board submission, and senior management briefing, various aspects of results-based management, including planning and reporting, performance measurement, and management accountability, as well as a range of skills in analysing complex issues and providing strategic advice to advance work on large-scale projects. Prior to joining to ESDC, Mr. Amin spent over six years working as a Policy Analyst/Advisor at Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), where he worked at the Office of the ADM/CFO and Management Accountability Office. During this period, he worked on various corporate files as well as provided sound and timely advice, information and guidance to ADM and senior management. He also contributed to establishing a bias free inclusive work environment at IRCC. He began his career with the federal public service working as a Policy Analyst with an Advisory Panel on Labour Market Information where he conducted research and analysis on labour market issues to support preparation of the Panel’s Final Report “Working Together to Build a Better Labour Market Information System for Canada”. Later he joined with the Corporate Planning Accountability Directorate under Strategic Policy and Research Branch at the Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (HRSDC) where he worked on various corporate files including development of Estimates Part III documents for reporting to Parliament, Management Accountability Framework and Management, Resources and Results Structure. He was the pioneer of HRSDC’s Performance Measurement Guide and Management Accountability Framework Topic of the Month Project. His academic background includes a Master of Arts degree in Public Administration with a Master of Social Science in Economics.
