To reviews requisitions and make arrangements for import of materials from ordering to delivery.● To make arrangements for purchase of material/goods from local and international market.● To provide a continuity of strong leadership to the department and the Industry.● To find different sources of supply of materials from local and international market.● Create and maintain and update database of approved venders.● Develop excellent communication with venders for cost efficient procurement.● Resolving written /internal and external queries.● To arrange Quotations, Proforma Invoices and Indents from company approved venders or suitable supplier available in Local market as well as International market.● To evaluate cost and quality of goods and services.● To negotiate the value for money contracts with venders.● To ensure the supply of materials for maintaining desired level of inventory.● Dealing with Banks regarding opening of letters of credit.● Dealing with State Bank of Pakistan regarding foreign Exchange Rules & Regulations.● Customs classification of material for payment of custom duties and taxes.● To make arrangements for deposit of custom duties, taxes for release of material from customs authorities.● To supervise Custom Clearance, Shipping & Logistics handling at ports● To arrange marine insurance of materials as well as handling of insurance claims.● Ensure proper document trail is maintained for internal and external auditors.● To keep liaison with the Venders for supplying quality of goods and services and ensure on time delivery.● To arrange budget preparation of the department.● Representing the unit on outside bodies and associations once required.● Such other duties as may be reasonably assign by the Higher Management.
