Author of WORLDLY GOODS, BERGDORF GOODMAN, JUST ACROSS THE STREET IN NEW YORK CITY, THE DENTIST, TRANSATLANTIC, LUCKY LARSEN, DOGS NEVER LIE, and VERNA WARE'S LONG WAY HOME, Poole also has written four detective novels, COWTOWN CRIME, COWTOWN CORPSE, COWTOWN COP, and COWTOWN COFFIN, featuring Detective Frank "Pink" Bettman.Poole has a cookbook series, starting with TREATS FROM SWEET-TOOTH LOLLY, based on recipes for desserts mentioned in her novels. Her poetry is available under the title CHILDREN OF EVE. She has authored the short story collection SUNDOG STORIES, as well as HOGAN THE HORSE BEDTIME TALES for children. Six of Poole's plays have been produced off-Broadway and in regional theater.
