I'm a PhD candidate at the University of Amsterdam / Amsterdam School of Heritage and Memory and Material Culture. Member of the advisory board of De Appel Mobile Archive (NL), Advisory Group of DAAP - Digital Archive of Artists Publishing (UK), member of ARIAS – Amsterdam Research Institute of the Arts and Sciences, member of the lectoraat at Rietveld Academie – Making Things Public. Co-founder of Archival Consciousness.Research interests: information systems, data architecture, ontology, linked data, knowledge graph, RDF/SPARQL.Using the (art)library as a model, what can we learn from the way that books — and knowledge — are processed, organised and shared in public space? Is it possible to read a library? With this broad question in mind, I work with voice, sound, performance and site specific installation to research the interaction between politics of knowledge and collective memory infrastructures in archives and libraries. Focused on the topics of database, visualisation, access, discovery, mapping and mediation in the library, considering mediation in the physical and in the digital library, understanding the library as heritage, cultural memory, and perhaps the library as a museum.
