My experience in Department of Transportation started on August 1, 1989 which was illustrated by the supervision, direction, and coordination required to work within the Design and construction and district practical support in the completion of over 34 minor and major projects over 65 million. As a Resident Engineer in District-3, I dealt with District / Contractor as well as Headquarter and functional units, local agencies and developers concerning issues impacting project delivery. I have invaluable experience in project delivery process from planning to construction. For the greater part of my working career, I have deployed in D-3 construction. Projects successfully undertaken was covered infrastructure on the State Highways located in Yolo and Colusa Counties. As a Resident Engineer administered a wide variety, different and complex transportation contracts and engineering work. I serve as a Resident Engineer on construction projects as described in Caltrans Civil Engineering guidelines required activities. Construct Bridges and Highways on major routes. Review and evaluate design plans at 60% and 95% design stage prior to construction. Throughout construction, study quantities, design details, layouts, examine drainage, traffic staging, sign and striping, load and grade calculation requirements, storm water pollution requirements, water flow rates, related environmental guidelines and material stress factors to determine design specifications. Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety in compliance with Standard Specifications and Standard Plans. Worked with construction field staff, district constriction staff.Below general management of Senior Transportation, I worked in the office of Traffic Data and Legal services. I performed a wide variety of transportation engineering work including but not limited to, compile and encode various types of engineering data relating to geometric and characteristics of the road systems in California in order to support the Caltrans legal teams. Encode correction to the highway and accident data based on the information provided by the California Highway Patrol (CHP). Interpret contract plans and detail drawings. Determine proper procedures to make the correction and/ or modifications to roadway records and report to the district for improvement.References will be provided on request. -

As Project Engineer, I let deign team in delivering 6 Project reports (PR’s), 5 Project Scope Summary Reports (PSSR’s). In addition, I provided design oversight for 3 PS&E’s completed by Sacramento Design.As a District 10 Metric Coordinator, I let the District effort in converting from Imperial units to SI Metric units in performing engineering and surveying work. I chaired the District Metrication Committee in overseeing all conversion, training program activities. I frequently communicated with Caltrans Metric Coordinator in Sacramento in identifying manuals and other activities needing conversion. Under my leadership, all the District staff of 900 was trained in the use of SI Metric units within a short period of time, and most of the tools were purchased through the District Business office for facilitating a smooth transition to the usage of metric units in the design and all future projects. -
