I've had my hands in some kind of computer case and eyes on some sort of command line since I was 5 years old (born '91). I've always been fascinated with technology and the possibilities it holds for the truly imaginative. By 13, LAN parties were a weekend norm, and as such so too was network troubleshooting and device configuration. Setting up LAN networks to play games together on windows 98/ME/2000 was a special kind of difficult, used to hone early patience and a mind for data flow. Through out High school, I participated in CCNA courses and later in the Skills USA competition. I took 1st locally and at state, then 13th nationally for network architecture, configuration, and troubleshooting.After high school, I spent time working positions to earn a living income and freelancing on the side. I moved from KS/MO to UT and continued to repair laptops, home PCs, specialized office equipment, and anything "technical" someone would let me get my hands on. I ran my own PC repair business for 1.5 years before handing the customer base over to another techie-in-the-making and headed back home to MO.Once back home, I worked through the job history listed on my profile and continued to devour any new software or technology I could get my hands on, hoping to get the opportunity to build or design a new system for a person or company.During a low point in my personal and professional life where I found myself lacking confidence, I reached out to 2 engineers that I'd worked with previously and maintained contact with over the years for a pick-me-up. Both individuals gave the same 2 core details in their pep talk: "You're able to take 'garbage fire' situations and produce gold." "You are one of few people I would describe as having an indomitable will."With all this experience in mind, I am passionate in general and have a vast hunger for learning. I will quickly be the first to acknowledge I know little to nothing about a subject, to come back a few weeks later with intermediate to advanced skills and knowledge relating to the topic at hand. When working in a team of experts or fast learners, my passion and will to learn intensifies which comes out in the form of team wide documentation. I particularly enjoy lining out and defining difficult to follow or "sticky" processes that advanced technical personnel find intuitive, helpful, and above all efficient.I'm excited for what the future holds, please reach out via LinkedIn IM or Email!
