AARC has given me the fantastic opportunity to enhance my spatial data analysis skills while contributing towards various projects, including:- developed a mobile data collection framework for ecological monitoring and surveying, by integrating ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online and Esri FieldMaps.- supporting ecological and environmental consultants with data management, analysis, and cartography for natural resource development, closure, and rehabilitation plans.

I achieved one of the highest overall grades in 2020 for the GIS-based unit ‘EVB203 Geospatial Information Science’. I am humbled to be given the opportunity to guide fellow students through geospatial analysis of the Brisbane City Botanic Gardens using QGIS and ArcGIS Pro. The key skills developed in this unit included:- Collaborated effectively in small teams to develop a broad range of spatial data collection skills, data sets and reports.- Conducted a typical project workflow from collecting attributes of specific locations, data preparation, formatting and quality control.- Created cartographic products to meet a range of client needs and assessed for accuracy, completeness and appropriateness.- Demonstrated spatial analytical thought by proposing a quantitative solution to a series of problems based on the class data set.

Disability Services at QUT allowed me to aid students who are unable to take notes in class, by contributing detailed documentation towards the peer notetaker scheme for one of the core units of the Urban Development course: ‘UXB231 Stakeholder Engagement’. The experience was rewarding and, importantly, it helped me to empathise with more inclusivity.

Uber driving throughout my early years of academic studies is a blessing-in-disguise, as it is one of the core motives for pivoting disciplines from Architecture to Urban and Regional Planning. By gaining rapport with strangers (and progressively several regular faces) within relatively short journey times, I was absorbed in the rich narratives of each client: how they 'survive' or 'thrive' within the increasingly growing urban fabric; what urban/community planning-related aspects they like and dislike about the city; and how their journeys took me to 'pockets-within-pockets' of communities I had never experienced.Driver Rating: 4.96 stars from 2000+ trips

A graphic design based role within the Product Development team.International Operations managed operations where Billabong Group has expanded globally, and mediated between national and international teams and stakeholders. International Operations generated up to 25% of total revenue for the business. The role gave me a fantastic opportunity to develop invaluable interpersonal and technical skills:- Maintained the internal purchasing database (extranet) daily, of upcoming seasonal products for international teams to analyse.- Assisted in the design, redesign and production of seasonal products specifically developed for international markets, which included Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Dubai, Israel, Japan, Peru and South Africa.- Liased and negotiated with national design and marketing teams for the distribution of seasonal digital resources, on behalf of the international teams.- Provided technical support and developed quality assurance procedures for non-technical stakeholders, international suppliers, sales and marketing teams.- Additionally, I was able to increase the efficiency of the database maintenance task by 50% via automation macros within software.

During my almost 15-year career at Target, I had the privilege of wearing many hats and developing many interpersonal skills: from the sales floor, customer exchanges/refunds, receiving manager, to sales/operations administrative assistant and reception. Most importantly, I had the opportunity to serve, build rapport and gain long, authentic relationships with many of the local customers regarding specific product knowledge and advice.
