About M Patrick Lowe
Dr. M. Patrick Lowe is a nationally/internationally recognized leader in robotic surgery for gynecologic cancers. Dr Lowe has taught and lectured surgeons on robotic and advanced laparoscopic surgery for cancers of the uterus, cervix, and ovaries. He has served as the Director of Robotic and Minimally Invasive Surgery for the Division of Gynecologic Oncology at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Chicago. Dr. Lowe established and led the robotic surgery program (2007-2011) at Northwestern Memorial Hospital to national and international prominence in the field of robotic surgery. Dr Lowe is also a co-founder of The Gynecologic Cancer Institute of Chicago with Dr Al Guirguis and Dr Nikki Neubauer. Since its founding in 2015, GCI has become the premier destination for Gynecologic Oncology services in the Chicago suburbs. Dr. Lowe was one of the first 10 gynecologic oncologists in the United States to receive certification on the da Vinci Surgical System soon after its FDA approval in April 2005. He has performed over 1900 robotic surgeries for gynecologic cancers and complex gynecologic disorders. Dr. Lowe has lectured nationally and internationally to teach robotic surgery. He has published numerous articles on robotic and laparoscopic surgery outcomes and was a member of the Society of Gynecologic Oncology Robotics Surgery Clinical Task Force. He is a member of the Society of Gynecologic Oncology, American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. He is board certified in Gynecologic Oncology and Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Lowe is well known for his surgical education videos (robotic/laparoscopy) that have been selected for presentation at national/international meetings. His videos (robotic, laparoscopic) posted online for trainee and patient education (YouTube-mpatricklowemd) have accrued over 400,000 page views since 2007.
