COMMISSIONING Preparing commissioning schedules for boiler & Auxiliaries, co-ordinating with customer and construction team for timely completion of activities. Carrying out pre commissioning checks, Erection completion Walk-through for every system to ensure the completion of erection and ensuring commissioning readiness. Carrying out pre commissioning checks, No load and Load trial, Commissioning and trial run of single, double stage axial fans (ID, FD and PA) and associated control oil and lube oil systems. Carrying out pre commissioning checks, commissioning of Auxiliaries like RAPH (Type: 33.5 VAT 1530, L&T Howden make), Gravimetric Coal feeders ( Stock Redler make), Pulverisers ( L&T MHPS make), Motorized/Pneumatic dampers & Soot blowers (Diamond Power specialty, UK make) Commissioning of fuel firing systems like Burner valve rack, LDO/HFO systems, Secondary air damper controls, Auxiliary air ports, Burner Tilt mechanism. Carrying out Pulveriser air flow test. Chemical cleaning of Main boiler, Steam blowing of Main steam and RH circuit. Co-ordinating with Electrical, C&I departments for Interlock & Protection checking, Logic implementation, checking activities.UNIT OPERATION Handling plant operation during emergencies, preparing trip reports. Managing control room operation from first light up to completion of unit hand over, training customer desk engineers and conducting customer training modules. Monitoring the control room operation during COD of the unit and tuning the various parameters like fuel flow, air flow, spray control etc. Carrying out Boiler performance test, Mill capacity test, Air heater leakage test and demonstration tests during PG test. Co-ordinating with EPC contractor and Customer for Turbine related works, Pre-boiler water quality, load schedule. Responsible for implementing the commissioning/post commissioning performance protocols and subsequent handover to customer.
