Continuous Improvement Specialist | Engineering And Operations Governance - Space Industry
CurrentIn the role of Continuous Improvement Specialists I am part of the Engineering Governance and my duties are focused on improving the processes of the Engineering & Operations department. To do so I leverage on digitalization, use of modern tools and methodologies and on the implementation of dedicated infrastructure.In this new role I am capitalizing the knowledge of the business acquired in the past three years working as Electro-Optical Payloads System Engineer, even though my work now involves and deals with all the products developed by Leonardo Space BU: Robotic Systems, Laser Systems, Atomic Clocks, Solar Arrays, Electronic Units, Micropropulsion Systems.An important part of my job is to act as interface for the Space BU Engineering and Operations department with various actors and on a wide range of topics. I foster relationships with the other Leonardo Divisions with the aim of promoting the sharing of knowledge and drive innovation in developing new engineering solutions and practices.- Improvement of design and development engineering processes- Introduction of lean and agile methodologies - Evaluation and introduction of new digital tools and solutions- Driving the development of network infrastructure to satisfy operational needs- Improvement of the production and operations processes- Coordinating the development of Digital Twin solutions- Harmonization of processes among different Leonardo Space BU plants- Leverage HPC Capabilities in the engineering activities- Management of the training and education initiatives- Foster relationships with other Leonardo Divisions
