As the lead agency in our Performing Provider System (PPS), Bassett Medical Center is coordinating 11 projects over a five year demonstration period through New York State Department of Health's Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) program. Statewide, $6.42 billion has been allocated for DSRIP. Working with over 90 partners in our PPS, I am responsible for collaborating with hospitals, independent physician practices, community based organizations, skilled nursing facilities, and others, to transform our healthcare system and to ensure each project completes its tasks. The ultimate goal of DSRIP is to reduce unnecessary Medicaid admissions to hospitals by 25% at the conclusion of the demonstration period.
