Working as part of a highly efficient in-house commercial/corporate team, I manage and advise on international procurement matters for various development and production activities in the complex Al-Shaheen oil field (Qatar). My responsibilities include the following:· drafting and negotiation of supply of goods and services contracts, license agreements, settlement agreements, technical services and research agreements;· leading legal and commercial negotiations with third-party suppliers and identifying and mitigating legal risks posed to the Company on matters related to confidentiality, liabilities; indemnities, taxes and intellectual property;· providing legal support to HR on employment matters, potential disputes and disciplinary proceedings;· supporting major projects with legal advice and contract negotiations;· working with other oil and gas operators on cross-industry agreements;· reviewing and advising on software license agreements;· robust review and response to claims received from suppliers;· contribute to the legal teams’ overall objectives;· instructing and managing external legal counsel; · ensuring full compliance with data privacy laws;· being a member of the company’s emergency response team and undertaking emergency preparedness training;· complying with relevant HSE Policies;· reviewing and approving vessel insurances prior to vessel mobilisation to the field; and· carrying out the duties of General Counsel in an acting capacity for limited periods of time.

As a paralegal I was responsible for drafting and reviewing confidentiality agreements, lease agreements, contract extensions and amendments. Furthermore, I handled legal compliance work, updated contract management systems and conducted miscellaneous legal research as well as supported senior legal counsel.
