Collin County Children’s Advocacy Center, located in Plano, TX (25 miles North of Dallas). We are the national model for Advocacy issues. Our 80,000 sq. ft. building supports 12 Multi-disciplinary teams: Police, CPS, Therapy, Social Work, Community Resource, Adoption, Foster care, etc. Everyone, (with the exception of the DA's office) is under one roof. The child / adolescent is interviewed by a trained forensic interviewer and the appropriate information about the case is passed through the team. This method eliminates re-traumatizing the child or adolescent by multi-interviews. There is never a wait for treatment, treatment is free, and the client can access center services throughout his / her lifespan.

I was contracted by the State of Ohio to facilitate a pilot art therapy program for dually diagnosed male offenders from 1995-1998. This program received the Ohio Mental Health Association Governors award in 1997. Programs included the Inmate Artistic Journal and The Garden Project.
