As part of Pricing & Analytics team within JPMorgan (Max Recovery), which is the sole proprietary investor in insolvent personal debt (Bankruptcies, IVAs, Trust Deeds) in UK, Mayank priced over 8 deals including portfolios from CitiBank, Barclays, HBOS, Northern Rock, Liverpool Victoria, etc. He was responsible for assessing the inherent risk and the quality of the collateral within the portfolio. He also helped in researching macro-economic variables to improve the pricing models and tracking the inherent risk in the portfolio on an ongoing basis.

Mayank worked with the Structured Credit desk for structuring cash CLOs. His responsibilities included cash flow modeling in both Excel and VBA, investment analysis & investor month-end reporting, reconciling loan portfolios, tracking P&L and trading leveraged loans to manage exposure. He developed pitch-books for clients and investors and worked with asset managers such as Carlyle, ABP, Ares, Avoca, Alcentra, Indicus, Prudential, etc. He also drafted & reviewed legal documents and liaised with different third parties (lawyers, ratings agencies, auditors, clients, trustees) to execute different stages of the deal.

As a summer intern with the most profitable European CDO structuring desk, at JP Morgan in London, Mayank Jha was responsible for helping out with the various deals that were at their different stages- from Marketing to closing of the deals. Mayank did complete modeling for the Jubilee VI CDO that was being managed by one of the biggest British fund managers, Alcentra. Also he was heavily involved in running the Moody's and S&P matrices to get the targeted ratings for the different tranches of the CDOs.
