Ignite Liverpool is an event which brings together speakers who are passionate about their subject area, and who aim to enlighten the audience in 5 minutes. We encourage speakers to challenge themselves in a public speaking environment, and mentor those who need help to get started. The team changes roles regularly and can be on stage introducing speakers, liaising with speakers prior to the event, organising the technology to support a fully streamed event, or meeting and greeting participants at the door.

Soul Full Send Off CIC has been set up to Do Death Differently. The process of dying and death has, in our culture, been given over to medicine and funeral directors and Soul Full Send Off exists to provide emotional, spiritual and practical support during the planning of end of life care, through death and the ceremony and ritual around it, and offers post bereavement support by counselling and local Grief Clubs.

Areas of work include copyright (e and print), process review, change management and handling a portfolio of projects.Currently re-modelling the departmental web site, moving the team towards shelf ready stock, streamlining the purchase and management of e-books in addition to introducing first international project of its kind in relation to supplier tools and reading lists.Management of the library catalogue, federated search engine and investigating RFID and vertical search solutions.

From writing the tender, arranging demonstrations, briefing and training staff, and implementing a full library management system in 6 months. In addition to the core modules, selection of a link resolver, federated search engine and SMS services.

Collaborating with new academic teams to develop and maintain elearning courses on the Universities WebCT virtual learning environment. Delivering induction sessions, researching areas such as Computer Aided Assessment, online induction. Developing a community of practice for Edge Hill staff who are involved in using WebCT.
