This summer, I had the opportunity to work with Zanzibar Petroleum Ltd, a leading player in East Africa's fuel industry under the Petro brand. During my time, I rotated across multiple departments, gaining hands-on experience in:Operations: Learning the intricate processes of running a large-scale petroleum business.Finance: Analyzing financial data and understanding key aspects of budgeting, cost management, and regulatory compliance.Retail: Understanding customer relations, sales strategies, and market trends in the energy sector.Supply Chain Management: Gaining insights into logistics, procurement, and inventory management.Government Regulations & Chemical Details: Ensuring compliance with regional laws and understanding the technical aspects of fuel and petroleum products.This experience has enhanced my knowledge of the energy sector and equipped me with a deeper understanding of the industry's operational, financial, and regulatory complexities.
