About Maaike Beech
Over the last 17 years I have specialised in providing trauma training to student and qualified professionals. It's a theme that is close to my heart, as I wish for a society where all mental health professionals (counsellors, psychotherapists, social workers, psychologists, GP's, probation officers, nurses, and so on) are fully trauma trained. Trauma is awful, but there is hope. People can work to recover, become more regulated and connected. A little bit about me:I am a qualified and MBACP Accredited, NCPS Senior Accredited and EMDR UK accredited integrative counsellor and psychotherapist. I work as a Trauma Trainer, Clinical Lead, Trauma Therapist and Supervisor. I have over 16 years of experience providing integrative counselling and psychotherapy to children, young people and adults who struggle with trauma, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, grief, and much more. I carry additional experience in working with therapeutic groups. I have set up several new counselling services and provide regular training to professionals. I have been trained in methods such as humanistic Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, Transactional Analysis, polyvagal theory, Rewind-Technique, EMDR, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (Level 1) and IFS Level 1.I regularly run trauma trainings: My NCPS Quality Checked Foundation Diploma - Therapeutic Safety in Trauma starts in September 2024 in Southend-on-Sea - Essex and in 100% online in January 2025. You can find more information on: https://www.thebeechpractice.co.uk/foundation-diploma-trauma. I also run a Diploma Trauma-Informed Clinical Supervision, which will start again in January 2025.
