I have always been interested in culture, history and art. Therefore I wanted to gain experience in the cultural sector. I worked at 'Het Streekmuseum' as educational employee. The variety of elements that could be found in this job were really appealing to me, such as guiding, teaching, presenting, communicating and developing educational programs. Moreover, I could use my creativity, my energy, my curiosity, my eagerness to learn and my enthusiasm.I developed an educational program ‘search and find’ for children between the age of 6 and 8. During this program the children are going back in time to find out how an aristocratic lady, Sara Louisa du Faget van Assendelft, lived around 1767. A picture puzzle quest is a part of the program. In small groups, the children will look for objects in the museum. In addition, they respond to several questions related to these objects. So, in a playful way the children discover interesting and funny things about the history of the museum.
