MainWood is a Joint Research Initiative in Switzerland that aims to scale up sustainable wood production and construction for a carbon neutral world.

OurWorldHeritage is a startup foundation, with which I collaborate on a voluntary base. The goal is to establish local-global collaborations to strengthen the local heritage voices, through creating spaces of co-learning, co-creation, support and advocacy, where expert and specifically local knowledge is respected.

Member of the Chair of History and Theory of Urban Design, researching impacts of asphalt roads on the short and long term urban development. I did some activities on the side, including building the chair website, and tutoring in a Bachelor course on urban analyses.

Our team coordinated 500 exams per semester of the conjoined science faculties.

Project secretaries coordinate and write the evaluation of scientific and legislative information in Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA). EIA’s is the primary instrument for environmental legislation in Europe.

Researching and evaluating the impact of large scale developments in the context of historic cities and landscapes. I collaborated on the following projects:- A feasibility study for the reuse of an early 14th century palace in Istanbul, Turkey- Heritage Impact Assessment on the Suicide prevention measures for the ‘Müngstener Bridge’ in Germany.- Master plan for the open-air museum ‘Castra Bonentia, Frontiers of the Roman Empire’ in Germany.- Nomination dossier ‘Wasserbau und Wasserkraft, Trinkwasser und Brunnenkunst in Augsburg’ in Germany (meanwhile inscribed in the WH-List).- Preliminary Heritage Impact Assessment on road development in ‘Natural and Culturo-Historical Region of Kotor’ in Montenegro.- Heritage Impact Assessment of the infrastructure master plan near the UNESCO World Heritage Site ‘Old City of Dubrovnik' in Croatia- Heritage Impact Assessment of road development in the near UNESCO World Heritage Site ‘Royal Domain of Drottningholm' in Sweden- Coordination of an international Workshop on Heritage Impact Assessment at RWTH Aachen University (Germany), Eindhoven University (Netherlands) and Danube University Krems (Austria)

At the UNESCO Chair on the Management and Promotion of World Heritage Sites

Assist the collaboration process of student teams during their interdisciplinary design project.

Mentoring first years students, and coaching them with design assignments.

Preparing course material and logistics for large groups of students. I assisted the students with structuring their architectural research in various types of buildings. Topics addressed include but are not limited to architectural typologies, architectural history, urban-, spacial- and empiric analyses.

All round educational and organizational support; e.g. reformation of Bachelor Curriculum, attending meetings of the University Campus Renovation Committee, scheduling of staff occupancy and study-and staff trips.
