As Aboriginal Health Lead at NWMPHN I worked with primary care providers, health services, communities and other stakeholders to design, implement, manage and evaluate programs for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities in our region. My role included commissioning, project management, implementing our Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and, providing advice and guidance across my internal and external networks.

As the Health Promotion Officer at Family Planning NSW I designed and delivered high quality health promotion projects to address the reproductive and sexual health needs of local priority populations including young people, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. I played an active role in the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of diverse health promotion projects including community based campaigns, consumer engagement, health information resource production, community education and capacity building.

My role was to design and implement the participant evaluation of the +One Project, and create the evaluation report.I designed a questionnaire to be completed during a structured phone interview with service users, analyzed the data, and created a comprehensive evaluation report. The +One Project connected people with debilitating mental health illnesses with their local fitness centers through reducing barriers, with the hypothesis that engaging with ones physical health can improve their mental health.
