Color manage the number one large format facility in the United States featured in Printing Impressions. Provide additional support for our other four facilities throughout the country. Wrote our initial proposal to receive free software and proofers for our prepress departments at all locations based on our plate consumables. Printing consists of offset, flexo, screen and large format digital using a variety of software and spectral devices as well as developing curves for proof to press match on Epson P9000 printers and importing them into Prinergy and Esko. Work with sales and project managers to develop workflows for Brand Management for various customers. Managing brand color across different presses and substrates so that the outcome matches no matter where it is printed or what it is printed on. Color certified on multiple systems, including the Nozomi 18000 which we run multiple substrates on. Manage our X-rite Color-Cert software for 3M. Write Standard Operating Procedure for Prepress, Pressroom, Flexo Department, Digital Department and Customer Service.

Work with a management team to develop workflows in Esko Automation Engine which save time, improve accuracy and make us more efficient. Develop workflows in Adobe Creative Suite, manage CGS software on Epsons and help train mac operators. Color management of GMG and HPZ3200s both locally and at client locations. Lead on color management for Target as well as their Digital Asset Management via Opentext. Installation of softwares and Pantone Color Manager for plant.

Office manager and lead tech with the Oris suite of software. We have several products related to the color management of prepress, print and design agencies. These include Color Tuner Web, Pressmatcher, Ink Saver and our online color mangement software, Approve. We match digital presses to offset, save ink for printing facilities and use an iterative approach to color matching various color spaces such as Gracol or Swop.

Extensive color and retouching. This could involve Photoshop or jobs being pulled off press for color issues and adjusting color via InDesign, Illustrator or pulling apart a furnished PDF and editing that. In addition, matching custom colors on their proofing system and building LUT (Look Up Tables) in the Oris RIP and Prinergy System.Now G7 certified by Idealliance for our proofer and presses. Proof to press match of .79 deltaE between the Epson 9900 with an Oris Color Tuner RIP and the Heidelberg XL105. Two other presses under 2 deltaE as well. Software used was SpotOn, Gretag, Idealliance Color Software and Kodak's Harmony via Prinergy.

I started as a typesetter which morphed into prepress in 1991. This was the early days of desktop publishing with Quark 3, Pagemaker 4, Illustrator 3, etc. Direct to plate was not an option at this time. I ran film to an Agfa Imagesetter.Jessen Press was a small company. Many times I would meet with the customer, receive their files or design their publication and move the job into prepress. After doing the prepress, I would also work on feeding the Heidelberg press, running the cutter or folder, apply the shipping labels to the product, sort the product and deliver the product to the bulk mailing center or directly to the customer.This job was excellent for learning all facets of the printing process.
