Maansson is an award winning creative/director/editor and unscripted show-runner. His many years of experience includes the development of numerous successful series and formats - including their promotion - ranging from game shows and reality competitions to talk shows, factual entertainment and comedy. In addition, Maansson has co-created and produced large-scale Friday night entertainment shows and a variety of television specials including some of Denmark’s largest annual award shows. He also created and produced the annual live wraparound show for the Danish broadcast of the Oscars® for five years running.As a former network executive he was instrumental in the creation and launch of three major cable networks in Denmark, most significantly the comedy network TV2 Zulu - including their unique genre defining promos and award-winning campaigns.He is one of the leading forces behind TV2 Zulu’s incredible success, through imaginative and unique formats as well as branding and promotion, having won several awards for his innovative hit shows.Well versed in all aspects of production, from developing, writing and production design to directing, editing and post, Maansson is widely recognized as the brains and brawn behind many of the top formats in the country, original as well as licensed, including their campaigns and off-air events.He is by many of his peers considered one of the go-to guys in television entertainment.From directing Wheel of Fortune and The Dating Game in the 90’s to producing a slew of international licenses including the annual Oscars® telecast wraparound show in Denmark, he remains one of the most talented, prolific and ambitious creatives in the business, adding his unique talent for scope, style, identity, humor and heart to many of the most talked about hit formats and promos on Danish television.In 2013 he relocated to Los Angeles where he continues to consult and develop formats for top entities.
