Involved in the Dutch Automated Vehicle Initiative (DAVI) to investigate possibilities for improvement, evaluation and demonstration of automated driving on public roads, specifically interested in concepts regarding vehicle dynamics.

Explored the extended driver assistance mechanisms from a global chassis control perspective. Specifically the use of forces acting on the wheel hub were investigated as means of feedback. Further studied various control allocation strategies for efficient integration of higher and lower level vehicle control mechanisms.

Studied optimal and adaptive control algorithms for vehicle safety and performance with a special focus on the use of tire/road contact information provided by on-line tire monitoring systems (smart tire technology). Developed algorithms for integrated chassis control systems specifically based on active steering and differential braking.
