In 2015 I accepted a new challenge within the Risk & Credits department as the product responsible of the home-built tool, which is the bank’s expert system for credit risk surveillance. It is considered as one the most sophisticated risk surveillance systems in the financial industry with over 100 risk officers which depend on this tool for their daily work and a scope involving all clients segments of BNP Paribas Fortis. While working as product owner I managed to - deliver the full cycle of change management from translating the business requirements in coherent functional analyses to the testing and delivery of the changes in a release- deliver multi-year projects which meet the business and audit their needs within the foreseen time and budget - become an expert and first point of contact for all topics related to risk monitoring & detection - lead a team of analysts and developers within an agile way of working and more than doubled the productivity in the team compared with before my assignment- build a sustainable relationship with my business as well as with my team members in Risk & IT- lower the annual costs of the risk surveillance department by automating multiple manual processes ensuring full traceability, significantly increased efficiency and mitigating errors- ensure a correct integration of the internal processes with other modules and business processes flows - appear with a professional and pragmatic attitude in stressed situations- adapt to the rapidly evolving market landscape and attempt to capture opportunities in that context- draft documentation and train cross-functional team members and end users

After graduating in 2010, I started working as the youngest member of the credit risk department at BNP Paribas Fortis on a wide range of challenging projects like - the integration of local risk data models towards BNP Paribas (Paris)- the development of an integrated database solution for all risk & credit data of the bank- the design of a reporting universe for the risk surveillance teamNext to these projects, I also took responsibilities on the operational part of the risk team which included- Responsibilities concerning the periodically calculation and communication of all rating data- Second line support for all topics related to ratings and early risk anticipation- Reporting activities towards numerous internal clients This diverse range of tasks allowed me to retrieve on-the-job experience in collaboration with various senior colleagues in a complex and constant changing risk environment. As a young graduate I progressively earned more confidence from the team which resulted in opportunities where I gained extra responsibilities and more authority:- Reporting directly to the head of risk business architecture, I was responsible for the follow-up and reporting of the BAU and project budgets of the department- As the responsible for the rating calculation system I gained my first experiences as product officer
