CurrentWith Homey, www.homey-kortrijk.be, I've created together with my wife and business partner, a unique lodging and meeting concept, rated on average 9.8 on booking engines Booking.com and Airbnb. Stay and come together in our authentic mansion in the heart of Kortrijk.Spacious guest studios with the comfort and privacy of a holiday home, the services of a hotel and the cosiness & homeliness of an authentic B & B.It is incredibly enriching to meet guests from all over the world, each of them with their specific stories, each of them with their own characteristics, many of them @ Homey while doing business in Kortrijk, many of them enjoying some days on city trip ... but in any case, each of them extremely grateful for what Homey and their hosts offer them: modern roof top studios in a historic mansion dating from before 1850 and a unique 'guest intimacy' through our messaging channels and the homeliness we offer.

Sold to Joyn end of 2016As an Activation Agency we focused on 360°. We boosted footfall, loyalty, turnover, online traffic and venue experience. We composed and managed geo-marketing campaigns and events. We published content to the targets of our clients. Therefore, we combined smart software solutions (e-ticketing, couponing, loyalty, gift vouchering, e-money, payment schemes, e-shops, ...), high performing hardware (from digital displays over simple tablets to smart self-built kiosks), online/social cloud-based tools (from social media, over web-based apps, websites, ...) and down-to-earth marketing techniques to deliver a customized concept or solution to our customers. We focused on: Town centers, shopping centers & retail parks, touristic & leisure venues/attractions/clubs, small & large retail ... (='centers of attraction')We had an in-house 'content publishing department' and used existing or self-developed media: social media, websites, e-newsletters, online magazine platforms, digital display networks, ...To answer to the needs of our clients, we started to develop content in-house (small blog posts, social media posts, visuals, ...). We acted as a one-stop-shop with our solution partners, experts and hands-on tools. Het Opzet set out strategy, combined the individual solutions and had final responsibility.

Project Manager
At DM&S Events, I was responsible of the organisation of several large and small events from A to Z. From concept over budget, from bookings over implementation, from coördination on site over evaluation with the customer.
Terminal Manager & Project Manager
Starting as a trainee, I learned the skills of operations and leading a team on the floor. After some months I was charged with the overall responsibility over a department with 15 co-workers and 3 shifts 7/7. I learned to manage people and to organise operations efficiently. I worked one year for the business support team and I was responsible for calculating prices in support of the sales team. During my years in KTN I was 3 months in Spain to help organise a warehouse, 4 months in Ludwigshafen where - as a terminal manager ad interim - I had to take responsibility over 7 co-workers and searched (and found) a new permanent terminal manager, and I was 1,5 months in the UK in support of the project engineer building a new logistics hub.
